Sketch of a rising growth curve and a falling cost curve
Lever 01 · Plan the Win

Decide where to grow, and what to stop.

Most established businesses do not lack ideas. They lack a clear choice. We help you decide which customers, products and markets deserve your money and people, set the targets that prove it is working, and build the plan your leadership team will actually run.

The problem

Growth stalls when every option stays open

01
Too many priorities at once.

Every division and every idea gets a share of budget, so nothing gets enough to win. Your best opportunities move at the same pace as your weakest.

02
Decisions wait for the founder.

Growth choices queue for one person's time. The team executes well but cannot prioritise without asking, which slows every decision that matters.

03
Margin unknown by line.

You know total revenue and total profit, but not which customers, products or channels actually earn money once real costs are allocated.

04
Plans that never reach the floor.

The strategy lives in a slide deck from an offsite. Managers set their own targets and the weekly work does not connect to the annual goal.

How we work

From diagnosis to an operating plan

Step 1

Diagnose

We review revenue, margin and customer data by segment, interview your leadership team and key customers, and map where growth has come from so far.

Step 2

Choose

We set out the realistic options, test each against margin, capability and risk, and help your leadership team commit to a small number of priorities.

Step 3

Plan

We turn the chosen priorities into targets, owners, budgets and a quarterly roadmap, with explicit decisions on what to pause or stop.

Step 4

Run

We set up a monthly review with a one-page report against baseline, so your team tracks progress and corrects course without waiting for the annual plan.

What you get

What you take away from the engagement

01

Segment profitability view

A clear breakdown of revenue and margin by customer, product and channel, showing where you earn money and where effort is not repaid.

02

Strategic options paper

The realistic growth paths open to you, each assessed on margin potential, capability required, investment and risk, written for a board discussion.

03

Priority and stop list

A short list of the bets you will fund this year and an explicit list of activities you will scale down or stop.

04

Targets and ownership map

Measurable targets for each priority, with a named owner, a budget line and the leading indicators that show progress early.

05

Quarterly roadmap

A sequenced plan of initiatives by quarter, with dependencies, decision points and the resources each initiative needs from your team.

06

Monthly one-page report

A single page that tracks each priority against baseline and target, used in a fixed monthly review with your leadership team.

What we measure

Judged by the numbers, not the activity.

We take a baseline in Review week, agree targets in writing and report against them every month.

Revenue by priority segment
Gross margin by line
Share of budget on priorities
Milestones delivered on time
You are a good fit if
Your business has grown past the founder's ability to make every decision personally.
You have several growth options and need a defensible way to choose between them.
Your leadership team wants a plan with owners and numbers, not another vision deck.
FAQ

Questions leaders ask us.

How is this different from a typical strategy engagement?
We start with your numbers, not a framework. Every recommendation is tied to a revenue or margin target, an owner and a budget. We also stay on to run the monthly review, so the plan is tested against results rather than filed away after the final presentation.
Yes. Good choices need segment-level revenue and margin data. We work under a confidentiality agreement, ask only for what the analysis needs, and you keep all the models and outputs. If your data is incomplete, building a usable view becomes part of the first phase.
The founder or managing director, plus the leaders who own sales, operations and finance. We need some of their time in the diagnosis phase and a working session to agree priorities. After that, owners meet monthly to review progress against the plan.
With the complimentary one-week Revenue Review. A Growth Architect examines your current revenue engine, identifies where growth is leaking, and tells you whether a full strategy engagement is the right next step or whether a narrower fix would serve you better.
